Old Rivalry Makes Must Watch List

While both Stanford and Notre Dame have struggled in recent years, ESPNU's Lowell Galindo has this years duel ranked number 5 on his list.

My first reaction was puzzlement, but after thinking about it, I began to come around to the idea. Charlie Weiss is coaching for his job. It's pretty much BCS or bust for him, and this year Jim Harbaugh is looking to lead the Cardinal to a bowl game. The fact that this game comes late in the season is what really pushes the intrigue over the top. The Fighting Irish may be fighting for a BCS bowl berth while the Cardinal may be one game away from bowl elegibility.

I was dissapointed that the Cal-USC matchup was not on his list. The game will decide who controls their own destiny in the Pac-10.
